I want someone...
I want someone to hold me
when I am down
I want someone to hug me
When I frown
I want someone to
Kiss my fears away
I want someone
who promises to stay
I want someone to
treat me like an equal
I want someone to
let me be a little vocal
I want someone
who treats me nice
I want someone
who takes my advice
I want someone who
makes me feel beautiful
I want someone
with whom i feel blissful
I know such friends exist
I know they are there
But why are they hiding in a mist
disappearing into thin air ?
Excellent, the flow of the poem is reflected even in the font style.
ReplyDeleteThank u gokul :)
DeleteWow. .loved it especially the last line. . . Sometimes even after being in a midst of crowd, we feel so lonely and ardently seek someone to shower love solely upon us!!
ReplyDeleteperfect work
ReplyDeletenice poem
and the new template is also beautiful......
THANK U ANKIT
DeleteMaybe because they want you to take a step forward? Smooth flow of feelings with simple words beautifully penned! :)
ReplyDeleteThis poem reflects so much longing to be accepted and loved. Perhaps we all feel this from time to time. I know I have often. Someone to take you as you are and be ok with you being yourself yet be able to lift a mood without words. Rarely we find people like this as we get older and even if we do the connection can be short lived or mistaken unlike in childhood friendships. But perhaps that's why dogs can actually be the best companions.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteToo much wants. hope you get it all in good measure.
ReplyDeleteBut the Question is, what can you give!
A give and take question. Perhaps in another's time of loneliness or grief the favour is humanely returned without question or want only a recognition of the heart.
ReplyDeleteExcellent style and language...!!
ReplyDeleteHe's listening, and he'll be there...soon :)
Lovely one, Goddess !
Thank you SO MUCH..:)
DeleteIn the society I live in, matters of the heart are hidden under a thick carpet of pride and encouraged to be kept to oneself. To speak freely with feeling is seen as having emotional issues. Unfortunately this can lead to suicide at the most extreme and regrettable situation. Fortunately this is changing with each new generation but far too many people express emotion so freely like you have here. Expression of the mind is beautiful and honest something I feel you could teach many people.
ReplyDeleteMay I edit. Far too few people rather than far too many. My apologies.
DeleteThank u atlast i get a praise from u..u made my day..:)
DeleteI praised you already I'm sure. I can feel the admiration as I write my comments. Looking forward to your next post. F.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem. Everyone wants that 'Someone'
ReplyDeleteBut, we should also try to that 'someone' :)
Hi Renu,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, we all need someone in our lives, to take care of us and whom we can take care of. This poem reminds me of the movie 'Life of Pi' wherein Pi longs for the presence of another human and finds comfort in Richard Parker. However, the beast shows no feelings towards him.
Lovely poem Renu, keep up the good work. :)
Regards
Jay

ReplyDeleteHi, you run such a helpful domain, on it! Also I would like to ask you one thing that I am curious of. Is that a paid theme that you can purchase online or a regular one?
ReplyDeleteabsolutely enthralling... simple and yet surreal... the last stanza, intense in intent, would do better with some rephrasing...
ReplyDeletegreat work...
